FIRST Programs


FIRST has four competition-based programs that help
develop interest in engineering and science related careers.
These programs are designed for a range of ages, that allow for
growth in knowledge.


Program: JFLL
Age group: 6-9 year olds
Description:
JFLL or Junior FIRST Lego
League is geared toward teaching
younger children basic engineering
and teamwork skills that will
prepare them for the next step, FLL.

Age group: 9-14 year olds
Description:
FLL or FIRST Lego League allows
Middle Schoolers to build and
program with Lego NXTs.

Age group: High School students
Description:
FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) is
a step up from the FLL program
and is made for small groups
of High School students.

High School students
Description:
FIRST Robotic Competition or
FRC is a program made for large
groups of High School students.
In this program team members
have 6 weeks to build a robot
for a themed competition. b
