At first I did not really know what to expect and I was completely clueless about everything. But by the end of the year I really enjoyed being on the team and it was a great experience and I came out with a lot more knowledge than what I started with. |

Years In FRC: 2 Now?: University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC) Major: Mechanical Engineering What I Enjoyed about FIRST?: I loved being able to just build the robot, really. It really goes along with what I like doing. I learned a lot about all of the tools and materials we used to build it: names for stuff, a few expressions, and a lot about drill bits. I also liked being able to use the machines in the shop. While I was using them, I found myself thinking "Wow, I could really see myself doing this for a living. It's fun." I wish I had joined up sooner, and not been so hesitant when I did decide to join. |

I mainly enjoyed fabricating parts but it was really interesting to learn about the electronics and attempting to learn programming. Thats why I decided to major in computers. |

You wouldn't get to build working robots that cost thousands of dollars without the efforts of FIRST and the people behind it. It's just a very unique experience. |
